Windows 2000 Dialup Configuration

1. Double-click on My Computer on your desktop. Next, double-click on Control Panel. Then, double-click on Network. And finally, double-click Make New Connection. The Network Connection Wizard window should appear.


2. Under Network Connections Type, select Dial-up to private network, and then click Next. Under Phone Number to Dial, please refer to the Access Numbers Page. Click Next.



3. Under Connection Availability, you may make the connection available to all users, or just yourself. Click Next. Under Completing the Network Connection Wizard, type the following name for this connection: Hanson Information Systems. Make sure the "Add a shortcut to my desktop" box is checked. Click Finish.


4. Reboot your computer.


5. Now all you need to do is to double-click on your Hanson Information Systems icon to connect to the Internet. Make sure that your username and password is correct and that you are dialing into the correct number. Once you have successfully connected, you will see a "Connected to ... " window.
